HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE WEEK
This week the Aranda Afters community said goodbye to one of our beloved staff members, Jarrod. We enjoyed a delicious sausage sizzle and participated in a game of softball. We also had a big day enjoying our new garden, and we said a massive thank you to Cally Brennan from Canberra Permaculture Design for volunteering her time and enthusiasm to assist in creating our amazing garden for all of us to enjoy! A homemade salsa was created out of the vegetables and herbs that the kids collected from the Afters garden. We also enjoyed a wide range of activities including lots of designing paper aeroplanes, creating Lego houses, cars (and even pineapples!), and making really big marble runs.

Policy Updates
Dear families,
We are in the process of updating our policies and are seeking feedback on the following drafted policy updates;
  • Incident, Injury, Trauma and Illness Policy

  • Staff Roles and Responsibilities Policy 
  • Staffing Arrangements Policy

Pick Up Procedure
When collecting your child[ren] from the service please ensure that you USE ONLY YOUR KIOSK LOGIN AND PIN NUMBER TO SIGN YOUR CHILD[REN] OUT.
All Authorised Collectors have been issued a unique login number and a pin. Parents will not be permitted to sign their child[ren] out of our service using another persons login details. 

Additionally, we ask that parents DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO SIGN THEMSELVES OUT, even when in your presence.
 
This will assist us in ensuring your child's safety.
