First 5 Conference - for First 5 And beyond!

This day-long, free conference is themed around creating and strengthening links between us all. The programme will treat delegates to:
  • Inspirational speakers
  • Great workshops
  • Opportunity to share your experiences
  • Networking opportunities
  • Complimentary meal and refreshments 
This event is made in collaboration with Leicester Training Hub and the RCGP. This event takes place on 17 May, 08.30 - 16.55.

Meet the Role: First Contact Physiotherapist Clinical Lead

On 25 May, 12:30 - 13:30, join us for the Meet The Role event. It will discuss the referral criteria and how to get the most out of your PCN FCP. The event is led by Charmain Akiens, a Clinical Lead First Contact Physiotherapist. This event is open to all Primary Care Staff with a booking deadline of 24 May, 23.30.

NHS and Primary Care Structure 

On 14 June 19.00 - 20.30, join us for the NHS and Primary Care Structure event. This event will be led by Dr Thilan Bartholomeuz, the Mid Notts Locality Lead. In this session, he will cover: 
  • What is an ICS
  • Benefits of ICS and the history behind it.
  • Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS
  • Place-based partnerships
  • PCN and expectations
This event is open to all Primary Care Staff. The booking deadline is 12 June, 23.30.

Introduction to Changing Futures and the SMD Patient

On 15 June 13.00 - 14.00, join us for the Introduction to Changing Futures and the SMD Patient event. This event will cover: 
  • What does SMD stand for?
  • What is Changing Futures?
  • What other agencies and services are there to support SMD patients?
  • How can we as primary care workers support these patients?
This event is aimed at Primary Care Staff involved in looking after the SMD patients. The registration deadline is 14 June at 23.30

Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Primary, Community & Social Care Nursing Network Event


On 16 June,  9.00 - 16.30, join us for the Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Primary, Community & Social Care Nursing Network event. The keynote speaker for this event will be Rosa Waddington, Nottinghamshire CCG/ICS Chief Nurse. Topics on the day will include:
  • CARE Overview
  • Practice Nurse, a showcase of strategy and work to date.
  • Social Care nursing workforce with an overview of programme and work to date
  • Showcase of CARE project
  • Restorative Clinical Support
This event is open to the nursing workforce (including trainee nursing associates, nursing associates and health care support workers) working in primary & social care. The booking deadline is 9 June 2022 at 23.30

Midlands Leadership and Lifelong Learning Academy Events and Training Opportunities

The Midlands Leadership and Lifelong Learning (LLL) team aims to develop leadership within the Midlands region and to support leaders and managers throughout their lifelong learning journey.  
 
Their role is to provide opportunities for leadership development from their range of:

  • Primary Care offers
  • Coaching and Mentoring facilitation
  • Systems Leadership
  • The Graduate Management Training Scheme
