By using VISION's powerful API along with the Enhanced Diagnostic toolkit, creating repeatable OBDII and UDS functionality tests is both simple and easy.
Diagnostic Session Control (also known as UDS Service 10) and Security Access Service (also known as UDS Service 27) make up very important parts of OBDII and UDS functionality. These services control what access the connected tool has to the ECU functions and data.

Update: New Screen on the DASH4ATI

There have been some exciting changes to the Race Technology DASH4ATI display in order to improve performance and provide a better user experience. The previous version used OLED screens, which benefited from high contrast OLED technology but sometimes faded away after xx hours of use. The new LCD display is a transflective and has the advantage of being visible in all lighting conditions. The transflective technology ensures it remains at a constant contrast ratio within all lighting conditions.

Transitioning from an A8 to an A9 ECU Interface

Users may find that newer ECUs are being shipped with an A9 ECU interface rather than an A8. While the change is mostly transparent, there is one thing that must be verified in the VST (Strategy) file to ensure that it will connect with a VISION project—the Device Settings within the VST file.

ATI’s A9 ECU Interface is an Ethernet only device. Accordingly, if users are migrating from the previous A8 USB enabling the ‘Ethernet Network Device Discovery’ option is helpful in discovering connected A9 equipped modules. See previously released ATI tech tip below for assistance.
