Horizon Scripting End of Life

VISION's legacy "Horizon Scripting" functionality (otherwise known as the "Script Manager") was created using third-party software libraries. The company responsible for the Horizon scripting language has been out of business, but ATI's VISION has continued to support this legacy scripting language. This situation has made it impossible for ATI to obtain 64-bit versions of the Horizon libraries. This will end support for the Horizon Scripting Language with the future releases of VISION as it becomes a 64-bit application. ATI would encourage you to begin the conversion of any legacy Horizon scripts into one to support the VISION COM API via Python, VBScript, M-Scripts, etc.
Additional details will follow in the coming months, if you have any questions please contact your local support office.

Tech Tip

Back Converting your VISION Project

The easiest way to share a project with another user is to use the Package Project feature. It packages every one of your project files (VST, Cal, Screens, etc.) in to a zip file to be shared with others. However, sometimes you need to back-convert your files to match a colleague’s VISION version. VISION files are always forward-compatible, but not always backwards-compatible. In this case, you can back convert your entire packaged project by following the steps in the read more link.
