Teacher trainers and principals began training in Guyana and Barbados As part of the work of the Educational Portal of the Americas and within the framework of the OAS-ProFuturo program, officials of the Ministry of Education, school directors and teacher trainers of Guyana, began their training sessions on the appropriation of technology with uses pedagogical, leadership and educational innovation, while Barbados educational leaders met in Bridgetown to learn about educational innovation.
Rowe Fund launches Financial Aid Guide for studies in the United States The Financial Aid Guide presents a useful list of scholarship and loan opportunities classified by OAS member country. Likewise, the Rowe Fund is receiving interest-free student loan applications for Fall 2019 university studies.
More than 2,000 scholarships awarded during the first half of 2019 Seeking to assist member states in the pursuit of their integral development goals through human resource development, the OAS Scholarship and Training Program awarded during the first semester of 2019 a total of 2,038 academic and professional scholarships beneffiting all 34 OAS countries, hoping to reach at least 3,000 by the end of the year.

Port officials benefit from scholarship and professional development opportunities During the first half of 2019, the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) awarded a total 85 scholarships for certified professional development courses granted to port officials from 30 Member States, and made possible that 176 Port officers from 21 Member States were exposed to successful practices Competitiveness, Logistics and Innovation in the Port Sector. >> See page 24 in the OAS Semiannual Report
