JLLI hosted its second annual Fall Fair on October 3! Thank you to the wonderful vendors who participated and our JLLI volunteers for their hard work. It was a successful weekend for the Thrift Shop.
A Virtual Paint Party was held on October 8.. It was great to see our talented members and friends exercising their artistic abilities while recreating artist Joley Wiley’s “Halloween Lagoon Moon”. Thank you to Loretta Hahn for organizing & hosting.
We had a General Membership Meeting on October 14. Guest speaker Katelyn Galbraith, NYSPAC Chair, joined the meeting to share ways members can help advocate for laws regarding important issues such as human trafficking, domestic violence, maternal health, and homelessness. We also shared updates about our Thrift Shop, volunteer opportunities such as Thanksgiving Baskets and Project Toy and an upcoming meeting for prospective members. If you know anyone interested in joining a group of likeminded women, be sure to have them contact MembershipDevelopment@jlli.org and ask them to follow us on social media!
The Bridal Super Sale was held on October 16, 17 and 18. Thank you to the many members who volunteered their time to ensure this event was a success. A special thanks to our Fundraiser Co-Chairs Christina Ho and Christina Mangels, along with Meredith Nies and the Fundraising Committee, for their efforts and hard work. All event proceeds will support community projects that directly benefit women and children on Long Island.
