Budget Requests for the 2022-2023 League Year are due March 20th!

Any member who currently chairs a committee or holds a position that currently has a budget needs to submit a Budget Request to Finance
alongside her incoming chair

This month in honor Women’s History Month we are honoring our League on social media by showcasing the history of the Junior League of Long Island.

If you would each please take some time to fill out the attached questionnaire and send a photo of yourself or photo from when you volunteered on a project to Communications@jlli.org it would be
greatly appreciated!

This Woman Crush Wednesday we are excited to introduce our February Member Nominated Spotlight for 2021-2022, Zina Kennedy!⁠ ⁠

This year is Zina’s 2nd as an active member; she is a native New Yorker, and grew up in Flushing Queens. Zina attended Queens College and NYU; and moved to the leafy suburbs of Manhasset 30 years ago. Professionally, Zina is retired and free of any and all titles, within the Junior League however she is co-chair to our beloved Thrift Shop! She is currently impatiently awaiting the re-opening of the Thrift Shop (which should be soon!). Her favorite Junior League memory is The “Positively Me" project her Provisional class did. Zina stated, “We got it in just before the Covid lockdown started. It was good to see the girls having fun and learning about themselves and their strengths.”⁠ ⁠

When asked why did you initially join The Junior League? Zina responded, “After years of donating (and shopping) at the Thrift Shop, Graciela Hall encouraged me to take the plunge and give back at a deeper level. Great decision!.”⁠ ⁠

Thank you, Zina, for being a wonderful League member and an excellent example of voluntarism!⁠

Junior League of Long Island is proudly partnering with
The Long Island Chapter of Pajama Program

We are collecting new pajama sets, new books and coloring books/activities and crayons to be donated to children living in shelters.The ages range from babies to teenagers (sizes newborn-18).  The event will take place on Thursday Mar 26th at 9:30am at HQ.
