Nominate a Member - February Spotlight

This Woman Crush Wednesday we are excited to introduce our February Member Nominated Spotlight for 2021-2022, Zina Kennedy!

This year is Zina’s 2nd as an active member; she is a native New Yorker, and grew up in Flushing Queens. Zina attended Queens College and NYU; and moved to the leafy suburbs of Manhasset 30 years ago. Professionally, Zina is retired and free of any and all titles, within the Junior League however she is co-chair to our beloved Thrift Shop! She is currently impatiently awaiting the re-opening of the Thrift Shop (which should be soon!). Her favorite Junior League memory is The “Positively Me" project her Provisional class did. Zina stated, “We got it in just before the Covid lockdown started. It was good to see the girls having fun and learning about themselves and their strengths.”

When asked why did you initially join The Junior League? Zina responded, “After years of donating (and shopping) at the Thrift Shop, Graciela Hall encouraged me to take the plunge and give back at a deeper level. Great decision!.”

Thank you, Zina, for being a wonderful League member and an excellent example of voluntarism!
If you would like to nominate someone please email with their name, position, and why you think they should be spotlighted.
