We are excited to introduce our November Member Nominated Spotlight for 2021-2022, our Arrangements Co-Chair, Meredith Nies! This year is Meredith’s 6th as an active member, and she was born and bred in Williston Park Long Island. Professionally, Meredith is a Marketing Consultant! She is most excited this league year to collaborate with such a stellar group of women to build (literally & figuratively) and grow JLLI!

 

Her favorite Junior League memory is her provisional project - First Step! Meredith advised, “Getting to spend the day helping so many women realize their potential and encouraging them to pursue their goals was one of the most enlightening experiences ever.” 
 

When asked why did you initially join The Junior League? Meredith responded, “I always enjoyed volunteering ever since I was little, but it was usually through school. So, after graduating college, it was hard to find the right place to dedicate my time that could work with my schedule. That is until I saw a friend from college who lives in Garden City, and she told me ‘Oh, I think you need to join Junior League.’ I had never heard of it except for references in Carrie Underwood songs or in ‘She's the Man’ - definitely didn't know it existed on Long Island or what it actually was all about. She told me about a Super Saturday information session and the rest is history. Thanks Stephanie!”

Del Vino Vineyard Sustainer Mingle

A cheerful evening in November at Del Vino Vineyards in Northport.  We sampled delicious food and wine in a beautiful venue where the ladies shared individual family successes and events that they are looking forward to in coming months. Smiles and warm feelings of connection were felt across the room as we reminisced about JLLI memories from one to forty years ago.
