I hope you are all safe and healthy.  In typical Junior League fashion, our members are supporting one another and our community during this challenging time, as you will see in the photos below.  While there is a lot of uncertainty right now, one thing is certain - as members of the Junior League we are all here for one another. The Junior League of Long Island partnered with Let's Craft to help assemble face shields for those in need.  Owner Karrie Anne Vitti has made and donated 1,365 face shields to donate to front line workers, and members of JLLI helped with 400 of them! Thank you to Laura Glass for bringing this project to the attention of the league and Carol St. Jacques for coordinating distribution. Many of the masks were donated to DDI Children's Residential Program.  A big thank you to our members and their families who helped with assembly!

In March, the Junior League of Long Island worked with Little Angels Fund to assemble and donate 75 “Welcome Packages” for families who unexpectedly enter the NICU Stony Brook hospital. Due to Covid19, our packages were not able to be delivered until May 13. We are so pleased these families will receive these packages as it is difficult enough to have a child in the NICU, but now these family have to worry about the pandemic as well. Our hearts are with them and we are grateful we can help during this time of need.

Members are supporting each other, staying in touch and having "virtual" fun!  
 

Virtual Book Club was held on April 27 and May 15. Members enjoyed seeing each other while discussing two great books - "The Only Woman in the Room" and "Where'd You Go, Bernadette" by Maria Semple.  Join the next Virtual Book Club on June 15th at 7:30 pm!
 

Members, families and friends participated in Virtual Bingo on April 24 and May 8!.  Thank you to Loretta Hahn and Meredith Nies for hosting the fun events on Instagram Live!
