Important Message to Members
|
|
Dear JLLI Members,
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to have an increasing impact throughout our communities, we want to share information with you about JLLI’s preparedness efforts.
We are fully committed to doing our part to help #flattenthecurve and reduce the number of those affected. The Junior League of Long Island has suspended all of our in-person community engagements and events. We have also closed our beloved Junior League Thrift Shop and will not be accepting donations, until further notice.
JLLI remains committed to supporting our members while the impacts of the corona virus continue to unfold and affect daily lives. We created a help hotline dedicated for JLLI members who need assistance during this challenging time. The JLLI Hotline number is (516) 218-1477. If you need assistance (ex. food delivery), please contact us. JLLI is a family and we want to help each other get through this uncertain time. For non-urgent matters, you are welcome to email info@jlli.org.
We hope you stay safe and healthy as we get through this, together.
Very truly yours,

Christina Ho
President, 2019-2020

LI Cares Receives $2,500 Award from JLLI
|
|
JLLI awarded Long Island Cares, Inc. with $2,500 from the Community Service Fund. Every year JLLI sets aside monies from fundraising efforts to give back to local nonprofits on Long Island. Long Island Cares is the first award recipient this year.
JLLI's funding will support Long Island Cares in their efforts to assist the Long Island community during the current coronavirus pandemic, specifically their mobile outreach programs delivering emergency food to children in need. With schools in Nassau and Suffolk Counties closed and people concerned about leaving their homes, Long Island Cares’ breakfast food trucks and other mobile vehicles are increasing the times, dates and locations of deployments in the community.
“We want to do whatever we can to ensure children and families have access to food during this health emergency. Long Island Cares’ food banks and mobile outreach programs are critical to our community, all year long, and especially in times like this” said Christina Ho, JLLI president for 2019-2020.

Covid-19 Resources from AJLI
|
|
A Message from AJLI:
The health and safety of our League members, your communities and our AJLI team, is a top priority for The Junior League. Many of you are focused on helping to protect your families, communities, and fellow Junior Leaguers from the risks associated with COVID-19.
We ask all of you to take the CDC, WHO, state and local updates seriously. For more than 100 years, communities have looked to their local Junior League as a pillar of strength and support. Embody that. Set the example for your neighbors. You may not be at high risk, but someone you interact with indirectly in public may live in a high-risk household. Together, we got this.
View the resources available to all Leagues. You will need to login using your Digital Cheetah credentials.
