Nominate a Member - October Spotlight
|
|
We are excited to introduce our October Member Nominated Spotlight for 2021-2022, our Fund Development Chair, Jennifer Grasso! Jenn was was raised in and lives in East Northport, which is North Shore in western Suffolk. She lived in Hauppauge for about five years and some time away at college, but favorites her home. This year is her 4th as an active member. Professionally, Jenn works at Northwell Health as senior director of internal communications.
Her favorite Junior League memory is her provisional project - First Step, hands down. It was a great collaboration with fellow new members and immensely rewarding to help women and their children prepare for the next chapter of their lives after being in a shelter.
When asked why did you initially join The Junior League? Jenn responded, “I spearheaded the culture committee at a previous company for several years. When I left and was in transition, I missed the community-oriented work we did and sought out a new opportunity. A serendipitous encounter with JLLI Past President Diana O’Neill was the start of my JLLI journey.”
Thank you Jenn for being a wonderful League member and an excellent example of voluntarism!
