This summer our President and President Elect presented The Long Island Crisis Center with a check of $750 from our Community Service Fund!
|
|
|
The Long Island Crisis Center provides 24/7, free, high quality, confidential, and non-judgmental programs and services to support and empower Long Islanders at critical times in their lives. This award was to help fund their Building Healthy Lives Through Education Program that delivers workshops to both students and professional staff in middle schools and high schools in Nassau and western Suffolk County. The workshops are purposely formatted for a classroom rather than a large assembly to allow for interaction and provide an environment for participants to speak freely.
