Hello Everyone,

Hope your 2020 has gotten off to a good start. Wishing you all a great Year of the Rat and every success in escaping the rat race!   

How's your training been? I've been squeezing in my little bit each day, and really enjoying getting back to some basic heavy lifting in the gym.  So far so good - feeling healthier, stronger all round and starting to feel good sensations in the swim/ bike/ run.  

We have a couple of things lined up that you might be interested in;

1) "Beyond FTP" workshop
2) Desaru Endurance Camp

A bunch of us have also been meeting at 6.45am on Sunday to run Macritchie. It's a casual un-coached session and you're welcome to join us if you, like me, need a good reason to get out of bed early on a Sunday.

You know what yours is, you're training hard to get it larger, you may lie about it's size and you're very likely to to be envious of at least one of your mate's.
FTP. Functional Threshold Power - everyone wants a bigger one. 
The good news is that FTP is not the be all and end all of cycling ability. We're going to be exploring how your power data can be used to derive other metrics that will help and guide your triathlon training and racing. 

We'll be covering the basics such as Efficiency Factor/ Intensity Factor/ Variability Index and how to use your data to build your race day strategy. Bring your bike computers along please.

Our next edition of the Braves' Endurance Camp takes us to the sunny coast of Desaru.

We'll be training on the 70.3 course making it the perfect 3 Day block to build fitness and get familiar with the specific demands of the course and weather conditions. This camp is also great preparation for all other mid-year 70.3 and Ironman races.     

Experience and learn the Braves' method through open water swims, Strength and Tolerance bike and run sessions, race-day simulations and  classroom workshops. Suitable, and essential, for  athletes of all abilities.
