Here are a couple of my favorite game day tips:
1. Don’t skip your workout. There’s no better way to celebrate than to move your body! Since most festivities don’t begin before noon, take time in the morning to get your sweat on.
2. Drink a glass of water after every beer or cocktail. This has two huge benefits. First, the water helps you stay hydrated. (Drinking alcohol dehydrates your body.) Second, it helps you drink less alcohol because you are less thirsty.
3. Prepare a veggie tray (or another healthy treat). If you’re going to party, having your own healthy option will help you stay on track with your goals. Plus, your friends will have a healthy choice, too.
4. Get right back on track Monday morning. Even if you overindulge, Monday is a brand-new day. Set yourself up for success by prepping a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner in advance. By the time you wake up Tuesday morning (after going to bed early the night before!), you will feel unstoppable again!
