HANGLEY ARONCHICK WELCOMES NEW LATERAL LITIGATION SHAREHOLDER 
We are pleased to announce the addition of Joseph C. Crawford as a shareholder resident in the firm's Philadelphia office. Joe brings decades of trial experience to the firm, including successful representations of major law firms and their lawyers in cases involving legal claims for malpractice, disqualifying conflicts of interest, and ethical violations.  
MARK ARONCHICK NAMED ATTORNEY OF THE YEAR; RECEIVES BAR MEDAL
Shareholder Mark Aronchick received the Legal Intelligencer's prestigious Attorney of the Year Award, which recognizes an attorney or judge whose work in 2018 had a distinct impact on the law and the legal profession in Pennsylvania. In addition, Mark was awarded the Philadelphia Bar Association's Bar Medal, which is reserved for the highest accomplishments and most impressive achievements. It is not awarded every year; it is presented at the discretion of the Chancellor in recognition of extraordinary service. 
REBECCA MELLEY NAMED A LAWYER ON THE FAST TRACK
Shareholder Rebecca Melley has been recognized as a Lawyer on the Fast Track by the Legal Intelligencer, an award that honors the best attorneys under 40 years old in Pennsylvania. Rebecca represents a wide variety of clients, from large corporations to individuals, in complex litigation. Her recent representations have included business, intellectual property, civil rights, insurance coverage, and real estate matters. 
HANGLEY ARONCHICK SECURES SUMMARY JUDGMENT FOR LIBERTY INSURANCE
In May, Hangley Aronchick obtained summary judgment for firm client Liberty in a $60 million insurance coverage dispute. The case had been pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and was scheduled to begin a weeks long trial, which was canceled as a result of the summary judgment ruling.
WIN IN PENNSYLVANIA SUPREME COURT
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of Hangley Aronchick client Windstream Communications in a case involving the collection and remittance of taxes under Pennsylvania’s 911 Act. The decision will have a direct and significant impact on the telecommunications industry. 
HANGLEY ARONCHICK SPONSORS ACC IN-HOUSE COUNSEL CONFERENCE
The firm was a proud sponsor of the Association of Corporate Counsel of Greater Philadelphia's 11th Annual In-House Counsel Conference. During the event, shareholders Michele Fenkel and Jason Levine, along with Jerry Mitchell from UGI Corporation and Joshua Romirowsky from AmeriGas Propane, L.P.,  presented a CLE session entitled "Ethical Issues for Company Counsel Arising from Representation of Company Stakeholders." 
BONNIE HOFFMAN SPEAKS ON PROPOSED NEW TITLE IX REGULATIONS FOR PHILADELPHIA BAR ASSOCIATION
Shareholder Bonnie Hoffman, Chair of the firm's Education Practice, recently served as a panelist for "The New Title IX Regulations and Their Expected Impact," hosted by the Philadelphia Bar Association's Education Law Committee. Other panelists included Audrey L. Buglione of the School District of Philadelphia, Patricia Hamill of Conrad O'Brien, Catherine Nguyen of Cohen Seglias, Sheilah Vance of the Law Offices of Sheilah Vance, and Penny M. Venetis, Director of the International Human Rights Clinic at Rutgers Law School, Newark.
JASON LEVINE WINS ADL NATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD; NAMED A NEW LEADER OF THE BAR
Shareholder Jason Levine was recently honored with the Anti-Defamation League's 2019 Daniel R. Ginsburg Leadership Award, which recognizes outstanding young professionals for their leadership and their commitment to the important work of the ADL.  In addition, Jason was named a "New Leader of the Bar" by the New Jersey Law Journal, which recognizes the accomplishments of attorneys under the age of 40 who have done notable, high quality work in New Jersey and beyond. 
BO EBBY ELECTED PRESIDENT AND CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD FOR THE BREAKTHROUGH BIKE CHALLENGE
Shareholder Bo Ebby has been elected President and Chairman of the Board for the Breakthrough Bike Challenge, a non-profit organization that raises cancer research funding for Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center through an annual charity bike ride. 
HANGLEY ARONCHICK ATTORNEYS NAMED TO 2019 PENNSYLVANIA SUPER LAWYERS LIST
Once again, Hangley Aronchick attorneys have been listed among the best in Pennsylvania in the 2019 edition of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers magazine. This year, 25 attorneys were named to the Super Lawyers or Rising Stars lists, including more than half of the firm's shareholders. In addition, Mark Aronchick was named one of the Top 10 Attorneys in Pennsylvania, Cheryl Young was listed among the Top 100 Attorneys in Pennsylvania, and Helen Casale and Cheryl Young were listed among the Top 50 Female Attorneys in Pennsylvania.
