A Message from the Chairwoman:

Welcome to the Arid LID Coalition inaugural newsletter! The coalition quarterly newsletter will be staggered in-between the quarterly meetings to keep everyone up to date. Our newsletter is intended to provide feature highlights, collaborative project opportunities and announcements about upcoming events. Our success depends on you, so please help us make this the best newsletter you receive by sending us feedback on how to meet your information needs. We are looking forward to having a room-bulging turnout to our first coalition meeting on March 30th!  We’ll see you there!             ~Sarah

Feature Project

The recently completed Bosque de Bernalillo Water Quality Project diverts low flows from the Coronado arroyo into a gabion-lined water quality channel for increased infiltration and filtration. Riprap slope stabilization in the main channel decreases sedimentation and protects banks in higher flows. The project also has storm data and flow monitoring. Read more here!
