SMFA Provincial Board - New Directors elected at Annual General Meeting

Three new board directors were elected, by acclamation, to the SMFA Board of Directors at the AGM on November 6. Clayton Braybrook and Doug McCosh were elected to 3-year terms, and Alisha Mann will fill a 2-year term.
Clayton Braybrook was nominated by Kindersley & District Music Festival where he has been a valued music educator, choir director and member of the local festival committee for many years. Clayton is Kindersley's "go-to person" for questions regarding the syllabus and regulations. He will be a great addition to the SMFA Board.
Doug McCosh is currently the Past President of Saskatoon Music Festival. Doug writes: "Music is a way of life in our family as my mother was a piano teacher and church organist.
I have been participating in music festivals most of my life, first as a performer and later as a director of elementary school bands. I have been on Music Festival committees in Swift Current, Weyburn and Saskatoon. I have had experience as a member of the Saskatchewan Music Educators Association. The best part of working on these festival committees was the opportunity to work with dedicated volunteers who make these organizations function. I look forward to contributing what I can to the SMFA Board."
Alisha Mann is currently the Vice President of the Estevan & District Music Festival and serves on the scholarship committee, organizing the piano awards concert for the past five years. Alisha is active as a piano teacher, and teacher of Music For Young Children in Estevan.
