Across the nation, staffing shortages are impacting businesses and institutions at unprecedented rates. At Edison, we are managing both leaves of absence and resignations, temporarily leaving us without a licensed teacher in a few classrooms. We want to make you aware of current and future classroom teacher vacancies at Edison, as well as our plan for interim support and hiring. We are fortunate to continue to work with a dedicated team of educators who step up every day to support new teachers and fill in where we are without a teacher. Our students continue to be well cared for and focused on learning. If you have any questions or concerns about our vacancies or mitigation plan, please contact Principal Warne at 612-668-1300 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Educational Support Professionals
Current Status: We have a few remaining open positions for Special Education Assistants in our Autism and DCD programs. One member of the Safety and Security team is on temporary leave–we are covering his absence from within the Safety team.
Future Plans: Our teaching staff and current SEAs are working together to guarantee that all Special Education supports and services are being delivered. We are actively seeking qualified SEAs to come on board at Edison.
We invite you to share our job postings for both teachers (a current license or qualifications–a 4-year degree and related experience–for a Tier 1 license is required) and Special Education assistants (60 Semester credits or successful completion of the ParaPro exam required). You can find open positions at the link below (just type “Edison” as the keyword).
