This study applied geographic information system (GIS) and analytical hierarchy process multi-criteria decision analysis to select a landfill site for Harar city, Ethiopia through minimizing conflicting interest. Environmental and socio-economic factors were weighted to develop a suitable index for landfill siting. Experts’ opinion was obtained to rank the factors. Learn more.
