Dear GFMC members,

Please note that you must have all your historical information in the Vivace database before your festival in 2022.

I can’t believe it’s almost 2022! I hope everyone gets some well-deserved rest and relaxation!

Upcoming GFMC Competitions

It is time to start planning and preparing for one of the three Georgia Federation of Music Clubs Competitions:

Floride Dean Piano Scholarship of $2,000
Continuing Education Piano Scholarship of $600 per each of the two categories
Bailey Cobb Non-Piano Scholarship of $350

Application Deadline: April 11, 2022
Video Submission Deadline: May 1, 2022

Rules and guidelines of the competitions have been revised. Please check out the information on the GFMC website for the details.

GFMC Festival Teachers Announcement

Dearest GMFC Festival teachers, I trust that all of your students' historical data is entered into VIVACE. If not, your administrators are encouraged to get that done as soon as possible so you can enter each of your students' upcoming Festival information. It takes quite a few "clicks" on the Vivace program for each student's Festival music to be entered so I recommend that you do it as soon as you are able. A big advantage is that if you've made a mistake on repertoire selection, Vivace will catch it right away. (I found I had one and was able to quickly switch out the wrong piece for a new one!) Beware that spelling and punctuation marks count when registering your repertoire information.
