To commemorate its 50th anniversary, Hong Kong Adventist Hospital – Stubbs Road (HKAH – SR) hosted a golden jubilee ceremony on May 4, 2021. The event was held at the hospital and simultaneously livestreamed, allowing hundreds of friends, medical staff, patients, and donors to gather together both in person and online to celebrate this important milestone in the hospital’s history.

Even in the midst of a global pandemic, HKAH – SR continued to enjoy the steadfast support of its friends and partners from across the world, many of whom recorded and sent heartfelt congratulatory messages to the hospital for the occasion. Well-wishers included Dr. Richard Hart, President of Loma Linda University Health in the US; Dr. Peter N. Landless, Director of the Seventh-day Adventist Church World Headquarters; and representatives from various international Adventist Health hospitals. HKAH – SR also received encouraging words via video from industry leaders such as Prof. Gilberto Leung, President of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine; Dr. William Ho, Chairman of the Private Hospital Association; Dr. Yeung Hip Wo, Victor, Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Medical Association; and Dr. Kenneth Tsang, CEO of Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong. The anniversary ceremony was lively and memorable, kicking off with a welcome address by CEO and President, Mr. Alex Lan, and opening remarks by Board Chairman, Dr. Bob Folkenberg Jr., and followed by a lighting ceremony conducted by members of the Board of Governors including Dr. Tom Chan, Pr. Heywood Cham, Dr. Daniel Cheung, Dr. Barbara Choi, Dr. Wing Hong Seto, as well as senior management staff. Other highlights included an employee prize presentation, a musical performance, and tours of the new rehabilitation center, all of which created a joyous atmosphere and served as the perfect opening for the hospital’s upcoming series of celebratory events.

“As a Christian, non-profit hospital, HKAH – SR has walked alongside the community for half a century and remains fully committed to providing professional and quality medical services to patients and their families,” said Mr. Alex Lan at the anniversary ceremony. “By embracing our five guiding values of compassion, excellence, wholeness, integrity, and family, we look forward to a bright future where we continue our efforts to provide whole-person healing, give back to society, and most importantly, live out our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.” 

為慶祝香港港安醫院—司徒拔道(下稱香港港安)於2021年成立50周年，香港港安於五月四日於院內舉行50周年金禧誌慶，並於網上同步直播，邀請來自世界各地的朋友一同見證這個重要的里程碑，與醫護人員、病人以及善長仁翁分享「香港港安」50歲生日的喜悅。

疫情下，香港港安得各方好友鼎力支持，透過視像及影片為香港港安送上祝賀。當中包括美國羅馬琳達大學校長Dr. Richard Hart、基督復臨安息日會全球總會健康事工部幹事Dr. Peter N. Landless，以及世界各地港安網絡醫院代表。業界方面，香港醫學專科學院主席梁嘉傑教授、香港私家醫院聯會主席何兆瑋醫生、香港醫學會義務司庫楊協和醫生、港怡醫院行政總監曾慶廉醫生等，亦透過影片送上祝福，詳細請按此。

當日節目相當豐富，先後由院長凌宏寶先生及董事局主席傅博仁教牧博士致辭後，由董事局成員包括陳少雄博士、湛志凡牧師、張擎輝博士、蔡潔珍博士、司徒永康醫生及醫院管理層主持了簡單而隆重的亮燈儀式。活動上亦舉行了50周年金禧誌慶活動頒獎禮、唱歌表演及參觀於地下的新康復中心等，在歡欣的氣氛之中為未來一年串慶祝活動揭開序幕。
