Our Heart Center is undergoing an upgrade so as to provide a better environment and service for our visitors. This renovation period is slated for 20 December 2019 to Q2 2020. With this upgrade, we are as eager as ever to continue providing heartfelt services for all.

香港港安的心臟中心現正進行優化工程，致力為我們的病人提供更優質的醫療環境及服務。優化工程預定於2019年12月20日至2020年的第二季進行。通過這次的優化，我們期望為大眾提供更貼心的醫療服務。

Surgery rooms have to be sterile every time after use, and the surgical tools are no exception. While most of us know that the tools have to be disinfected to ensure they are absolutely bacteria-free and aseptic, we rarely know anything about the team who’s responsible for such an important task.
Meet our hospital’s Infection Control Team, who has the same responsibility as surgeons when it comes to saving patients’ lives.
In 2017, the Central Sterilization and Reprocessing Unit (CSRU) of our hospital achieved ISO9001:2015 Quality Management, ISO13485:2016 Quality Management on Medical Device and ISO14971:2007 Risk Management on Medical Device, respectively. It proves that the level of monitoring of the hospital is being recognized, and our high quality services to patients are being highlighted. By choosing to receive medical care from an internationally accredited hospital, you are guaranteed that the level of care you receive is of international standards.

醫院手術室當然要講究清潔衛生，而在手術時使用的工具也不例外，每次使用後均需要進行非常嚴謹的消毒程序，以確保絕對潔淨無菌。而這個重任，就落在醫院裡的幕後英雄──中央消毒室手上。
病人總沒機會碰到這個小組的醫護人員，但他們負責的，卻跟醫生一樣，關係到病人的性命。
2017年，本院的中央儀器消毒室分別取得「ISO 13485:2016醫療器材品質管理認證」、「ISO 9001品質管理認證」及「ISO14971:2007醫療器械風險管理認證」，引證本院的醫療系統及風險管理均達致國際認可水平，為病人提供優質服務。

Mary Henderson, an active sports player all her life, experienced worsening shoulder pain that affected her ability to do sports. Luckily, with the help from our orthopaedics team, Mary is now on her road to recovery – now back to playing ‘a little cricket’ after a successful operation on her shoulder.
Sports professionals in general have higher risks of developing shoulder problems. And surgeries are often the option for treatment in cases like this.
“If a patient is unable to take part in a certain sport and surgery will rectify the problem without the person being out of action for too long, then surgery will certainly be recommended.”

Mary Henderson是一位活躍的運動員，因長年參與球類運動的關係，肩膀常常重覆進行同一動作，令肩關節受損，嚴重影響著她的運動生涯。但慶幸得香港港安骨科團隊的協作，早前Mary進行了肩關節置換手術，現時她已踏上康復之路，重新投入運動的懷抱。
比起一般人，運動員相對地較容易患上肩膀的問題，而肩關節置換手術往往是有效解決痛楚的最佳方法。
「如果病人因痛楚已無法再進行運動，而手術能夠解決這個問題，同時術後康復期短的話，醫生絕對會建議病人進行肩關節置換手術。」

“Macro thinking is a crucial skill in our job. Based on the patient’s symptoms, we have to analyse the possible causes based on severity and eliminate those that don’t match, and provide accurate diagnosis and suitable treatments.”

All puddings are freshly made with organic ingredients with no preservatives added! Share with your family and friends the tastes of homemade festive delicacies 。
Net proceeds will be donated to our Healthy Lifestyle Fund. For each pudding you buy, one underprivileged elderly would be able to receive basic health screening.
