Supporting English Learners in Your Classroom? - Join our next ESL Program Specialist Cohort!

Our ESL Program Specialist Certification provides training and professional development for educators to be fully prepared to meet the needs of English Learners (ELs) in their schools. The 6-course sequence focuses on :
  • Developing Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity
  • Language Acquisition
  • Literacy Acquisition
  • Observing and Planning Instruction
  • Implementing and Managing Instruction
  • Assessment

Book Studies

Limitless Mind Book Study - Come along with us while we learn about how our brains- and lives- are highly adaptable and what we can do to change our approaches to learning. This asynchronous book study will connect Carol Dwek's work and Jo Boaler's research through 6 key areas of focus.
Mathematical Mindsets Book Study - Help your students develop a growth mindset in math! Throughout this book study, participants will reflect on their own relationship with math as well as gain strategies for approaching math in a way that does not reinforce negative experiences so many of us have had in the math classroom.

Creating Systems that Support Students

PBIS IS MTSS: Demystifying Tiers 2 and 3 (Advanced Tiers) - Learn how to integrate/blend your school student support teams (ex. SAP, Child Study, MTSS, IST, SST, Tier 2, Tier 3, other teams) to more efficiently address the needs of your students and your staff! If your school is dealing with team fatigue, this offering is for you!
Student Assistance Program (SAP) - The primary goal of SAP is to help students overcome these barriers in order that they may achieve, remain in school, and advance. This online, six 1/2 day sessions, is approved by the Interagency Committee and will provide all trainings with certification for being a fully-trained SAP K-12 team member.
