Cannabis Distribution, It takes a team.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to sell Cannabis for a living?

The cannabis industry (or the wild west) is still a very young industry. New trends are emerging and disappearing, regulations are constantly getting tweaked, updated or evolve, trying to complete research and build good data sets on how to predict how cannabis products will affect consumers, and everybody is trying to figure out what exactly a cannabis consumer wants, thinks, and most importantly, is willing to spend their money on.

That's where the cannabis account manager comes in.

They go out on the front lines every day and navigate the trends, build relationships with our customers and take notes on what is exactly happening out in retail cannabis stores. They are the representatives of our ever-expanding product line, having the conversations about what makes our product line unique, and representing the company in all of the love, sweat, and tears that goes into every item we sell. They have conversations with intake managers, customers and all of our partners working in the industry on a daily basis.

It is a giant task, and no one person could manage to keep great relationships with every single retailer in Oregon, so we have built a team and created territories in order to make sure we are providing the highest quality of customer experience with each partner we decide to enter business with. Each account manager represents a different geographic location of Oregon, which has been split up based on the number of stores in the area, location, store size, and unique customer needs.

If you have any need for distribution, storage or brand representation please reach out to us at

Let’s Meet the team!

LEON HARMON JR: Sales Director

Leon has been in the CPG space for 15+ years as a sales and channel marketing professional.  His experience stems from numerous roles leading and helping global organizations execute strategy to build respected, recognized brands consumers can trust.  Leon entered the cannabis industry as an investor in 2017, and has worked as a consultant for retail strategy and product development with recreational-focused producers and wholesalers in California and Oregon markets. He believes the Oregon market has faced a lot of headwinds but is now in a better position than ever before to change its trajectory and become one of the leaders in building the national efforts for interstate commerce and safe, legal cannabis consumption. As our Director of Sales Leon will look to build our retail philosophy, expand dispensary outreach, and support our channel partners in building valued relationships and trust with consumers and communities throughout the great state of Oregon.

TOM DALY: West Portland & The Coast
Tom is a recent addition to the cannabis industry, recently poached from the cycling world where he owned a bicycle shop for the past decade. No stranger to cannabis, he applies his experience behind the retail counter to the new and ever-evolving legal market. Tom takes a firm stance on THC percentage, and would much rather see a well-cultivated cannabis plant with great taste and smell over the race for the highest percentage at all cost.

“I love the coastal territory. To me, it’s a dream job that I get to drive up and down the Oregon coast selling cannabis. I wouldn’t give it up for anything.”

MAC ZIVNEY: SE Portland & Bend

Mac has had Cannabis experience at every level in the Industry. Throughout his time in cannabis, Mac has worked every position in the Industry. Starting as the receptionist who greets you before heading into your favorite dispensary, Mac has touched every part of the industry. Delivery driver, Harvesting, Bucking, Packaging and finally mac has landed in the Account Management role for SouthEast Portland and has been building great relationships with our clients ever since. Mac loves working the SE sales territory because our wholesale is close to where he grew up in Portland, he gets to visit the various parts of SE to provide craft cannabis while walking down memory lane.

Mac believes that Top tier Sun-Grown cannabis is the future of craft cannabis.

CARL WILLIAMS: North Portland
I was born in Jamaica, so cannabis has always been a part of my heritage. Although, growing up, and going into my 30's (aging myself here) I used to be "anti-weed" and I fed into the negative stigma of cannabis. I was close-minded and didn't do my own research, nor take the time to learn about all the positive and medical health benefits from the plant.

After acquiring two BBA's in Computer Information Systems and Supply Chain Management from the University of Houston and working in IT for academia, sports/entertainment, medical, and oil & gas industries over the course 18 years, I moved to Portland in April (4/20 to be exact) to work in the cannabis industry. The past 16 months have been quite the experience. I've been fortunate to have made connections and establish great relationships with people who have been in the game since the beginning; people who are excited to share their insight on the market and also their passion for cannabis...

...I believe cannabis brings ALL people together. As Bob Marley says, "It's the healing of the nation." It's a positive source of energy that represents unity, love, peace, and happiness; and it's my duty and honor to supply the North metropolitan area with some of the finest craft cannabis grown in Oregon from Shadowbox Farms.

If I could give one piece of advice to consumers, it would be that when it comes to cannabis, numbers DO lie! There is more to know than just the THC and CBD percentages; and the higher the number doesn't necessarily guarantee that you're going to get THAT much higher. Take time to learn about all the other endocannabinoids in the plant, and also pay attention to the terpene profiles and the effects they have on you. Put one in the air for ya boy and stay frass, my friends. :)

THOMAS TINSLEY: Southern Oregon

I love Southern Oregon because of its beauty, and because, it is such a small community where everybody knows everybody, not to mention that it is also home to the finest cannabis produced in the world.

I believe strongly in SBF’s mission to be a true a steward of Oregon’s cannabis industry, acting as a representative in the Rotary International on top of his time spent in the field. Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, I take pride in working with a community organization that is helping to give back to our local community, which is only going to help everyone in the long run.

I have been apart of the Cannabis scene here in Southern Oregon for about 20 years now and have previously managed and consulted with many medical grows in Southern Oregon. My first passion in life has always been Skateboarding, I have been on a Skateboard for about 30 years now and have competed in long-distance skateboarding events along the west coast since 2012 including the Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon in San Diego,2012-2016 The Bend Beatdown and Ptown Throwdown.

Dispensary: Buddhas Wellness Center

City: Port Orford

How long have you worked in Cannabis?:
I am new to the cannabis retail industry, working for about a year and a half as a budtender. I am always trying to learn anything I can about the plant, the industry, getting to bud-tend for as many customers as possible. I have a supportive wife and daughters who are encouraging of my passion and to keep giving my all. I am a very lucky guy with the people in my life and at my dispensary.

What is your favorite Cannabis Product?:
Empower THC Roller, it’s incredible for my skin.

First Time advice for new users?:
Start slow! Look up information on the product strains, dates, testing %’s. There is no sense in ruining your cannabis experience by simply choosing the wrong strain for the situation.

Why Buddhas Wellness Center?:
This shop was opened by one of my best friends, in a town that I have lived in for almost 20 years. I love this place, I know the community and have been a part of the town since I started fishing and ranching all the way to the dispensary I work at now. This shop has given me a fire to learn again and share my knowledge with as many people as possible!
