4-H Program Review Survey

We want to hear from you! While reviewing our current 4-H program, Extension staff are seeking the input of 4-H families, members, volunteers and supporters. Let us know what is important to you, what you value in the current program, and potential changes you might like to see. The survey will be open until March 15th.  We value your ideas and opinions!

4-H Online Enrollment

Enrollment in 4-H Online is now open! A new version of 4-H Online is being used this year, so your screens will look a bit different than what you've used in the past,  Videos and help sheets are currently available on our website to walk you through the enrollment process, and as always, Extension staff is happy to help with any questions you might have! Enrollment is due on April 1, though your club may have an earlier deadline.

Volunteer Kickoff Recording

In case you missed Tuesday night's volunteer training session, a recording of the meeting is now available. All volunteers must complete the training session by February 28 in order to maintain their volunteer status.  Be sure to complete the survey noted at the end of the presentation to record your attendance. Our 4-H team has made several much-needed updates to our Wayne County 4-H website! Pages for each individual livestock species are now available, along with pages dedicated to our volunteers.  Check out our new web pages by clicking the buttons below.

Food and Fashion Board Applications Due February 16


The Wayne County 4-H Food and Fashion Board has opened up applications for some additional youth.  Applicants must be ages 14 – 18 as of January 1st.  Food and Fashion Board members help plan and conduct the annual Wayne County 4-H Style Revue and State Fair Awards program, assist with the Baked Goods Auction at the Wayne County Fair, and participate in a variety of other fun and educational trips and activities.  Applications are due February 16th.  Click the button below to download the application.

4-H Scholarships

Did you know that Wayne County offers several scholarships to 4-H members annually?  Applications are now available and are due at the Extension office by February 16, 2021.  Ohio State University also offers scholarships for 4-H members.  Click the buttons below for application information.

Dairy Service Unit Awards

The Wayne/Ashland Dairy Service Unit is now accepting nominations for the Outstanding Dairy Youth award and applications for the Dairy Service Unit Scholarship.  Applications and nominations are due February 15, 2021.  Applications are available below:

Black & White Photography Challenge

The University of Minnesota 4-H program has created a photo challenge open to all 4-H members in the Midwest in grades K-12. Explore the world in TONES for the Black & White Photography Challenge. In this challenge, we encourage you to play with shadows, look at texture, layer dark and light tones to create stunning black and white photographs. Submit up to three (3) black & white images by 11:59 p.m. on March 15. Click the button below for information.

Virtual Ohio 4-H Conference

It's time to register for the 2021 Ohio 4-H (Virtual) Conference! This year's event for 4-H volunteers and teens features virtual sessions on Feb. 20, 23, and 25. Read through the conference booklet for a complete description of sessions, then register online at www.go.osu.edu/2021O4HC. There's no cost to participate - don't miss it! Registration is due by February 12.
