April 23—May 18: Art Exhibit: Walker T. Roman
Born in 1990, Walker T. Roman lives and works in the United States. He studied at Massachusetts College of Art and Design graduating in 2012, receiving multiple awards.
His current monochrome gestural paintings are informed by highly specific material choices such as single pigment acrylics and polypropylene surfaces. By a process of omission, and reducing image-making to its most basic elements, he explores themes of transcendence, impermanence, and uncertainty.
Masks are required inside the library. 508-645-3360 for more information.

May 21—June 8: Art Exhibit: Susan Bienen Johnson
WINDOWS
UP-ISLAND ~ OFF-ISLAND
The up-island paintings of Menemsha show window views through shacks and cottages,
with glimpses of water and landscape beyond, and reflections that sometimes
include my own figure. Off-island, in Brookline, I paint windows too — views across my
neighborhood landscape in changing weather and seasons.
Born and raised in New York City, Susan graduated from the High School of Music and Art
and Brandeis University, and studied Interior Design at the Boston Architectural College.
Masks are required inside the library. 508-645-3360 for more information.
