Jack Dorsey’s Square Wins Patent for Fiat-to-Crypto Payments Network

Payments provider Square (SQ) won a U.S. patent on Tuesday for a new network that enables seamless crypto-to-fiat transactions.

"The present technology permits a first party to pay in any currency, while permitting the second party to be paid in any currency" reads Square's application.

Think in terms of what this can do for retail. Square believes they can create a system that features automatic and real-time settlements.

The patent news comes off the heels of their announcement that they're working on a Lightning Development Kit. Here's more on that...

  • Cash is trash
  • US investors MUST have gold
  • Bitcoin is too volatile (just wait until the halving, Dalio)
  • Something like Libra is more stable and has potential
