There is a lot to growing grapes in Sonoma,
and depending on the year, the "Farming Plan,"
may have to be amended.

There are many factors to consider,
such as
the weather and seasonal shifts,
to name a few.

Farming comes with big rewards for those who are prepared.

This is the time of the year to get prepared.

Top 10 Zinfandels Tasted in 2019

It is the time of the year where every wine blogger publishes their lists of Wines of the Year or Values of the Year, etc. Although I try to blog about all the wines I taste it is clear that Zinfandel is definitely my grape of choice. With that in mind here are my top 10 Zinfandels of 2019 and my rating for each.

 All of the older wines were stored in my cellar since release. Wines that received the same score are not listed in any particular order. This is the 6th version of my Top 10 Zinfandel list.

  1. 2017 Ridge Zinfandel Pagani Ranch – 96 points
  2. 2014 Limerick Lane 1023 – 95 points

“Olive Sonoma”

Arbequina Olive Oil,
just so happens to be David Cook’s and my favorite.

AND

Won a  Gold AWARD  at the

2019 World Olive Oil Competition

“Olive Sonoma” Arbequina, is a well-balanced olive oil,
with tasting sensations of Almond, Celery, Chamomile and Black Pepper

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Arbequina goes well drizzled over meats to bring out their intense flavors.
It’s also great in pesto (I use it in mine) and salad dressings.
Interesting fact:  A customer recommends using Arbequina for baking.  She told me that she substitutes it for butter and used it in her Brownie Recipe!
