Dundee Manufacturing & AIDA Presses Featured in FFJournal Article

Dundee Manufacturing 200 Ton Direct Drive Servo Press
Dundee Manufacturing Co., a producer of engineered components and parts for the plumbing, electrical, solar, and motor vehicle industries located in Dundee, Michigan, has purchased five AIDA presses since 2017.  These include four gap frame mechanical presses and one straightside DSF Series direct drive servo press.  Co-Owner & Vice President Dale Davis notes that it was initially hard to justify the more expensive servo press; however, he and Peter Davis, Co-Owner & President, were sold upon visiting another AIDA customer who touted greatly reduced die maintenance costs experienced with AIDA DSF Series presses.  Since installing an AIDA 200 metric ton DSF Series press, Dundee Manufacturing has realized a tremendous decrease in die maintenance on jobs moved from conventional mechanical presses to their AIDA servo press.  They now achieve 900,000 hits between sharpening punches that previously had to be sharpened every 100,000 hits.  They have also increased parts per minute on a component stamped from high-strength low-alloy material by 18 percent.  Dundee Manufacturing plans to install three to four AIDA press lines.  Click to read the complete article.
