The National Lottery Heritage Fund has awarded critical funding for The Pitman's Parliament.
Life-saving funding for Redhills
We are delighted to let you know that our bid to The National Lottery Heritage Fund has been successful.
The life-saving grant will prepare the ground for the restoration and renewal of Redhills: Durham Miners Hall. The National Lottery Heritage Fund will release initial funding of £400,000 for a feasibility study, and project planning and development. This is the first stage of funding and will enable the Durham Miners Association to progress towards second stage funding worth £3.8million.
Our thanks to you all for your help and support in getting us to this stage.
There is much work still to be done to ensure that Redhills is a vibrant place that honours all those who’ve gone before, and serves generations to come. To stay up to date with developments - and to add your name in support of the project to renew Durham Miners Hall – please sign up below.
