New year, new decade but also new projects for Pure Ocean.
The year 2020 promises to be rich in events and commitments. 
The entire Pure Ocean team is in the starting blocks! 


A study to discover how starfish and sea urchins from mesophotic communities disperse between oceanic islands and seamounts in the Southeast Pacific 

The Pacific Ocean has the largest number of seamounts and ocean islands in the world. These topographic features are home to ecosystems that are particularly vulnerable to human and natural impacts. 
MECOPO,  a project led by young researcher Ariadna Mecho, focuses on the under-studied but essential marine biodiversity of these areas at depths of 60 to 350m using a remotely operated underwater vehicle.

Le Tour de La Provence
From 13 to 16 february 2020, this cycling race is organized by the newspaper La Provence.
This year, the Tour de La Provence is committed to becoming an exemplary player in terms of sustainable development and has called upon Pure Ocean to achieve this. 

Crions pour les océans
In partnership with La Criée, a day entirely dedicated to the ocean will be held on 6 June.

Pure Ocean will be delighted to share this event with all “ocean lovers”. 

The World Conservation Congress
From 11 to 19 June 2020, Marseilles will host the World Conservation Congress. 
Pure Ocean will be present at this international event.

The Underwater Marathon
A new Race For Pure Ocean from June 12th to 14th: 42.2km underwater relay race on the Mediterranean coast. The first marathon combining sporting challenge and awareness of the fragility of the oceans!

Born in 2019, from the desire to structure its approach, the Ouréa philanthropic Fund offers an innovative model of entrepreneurial philanthropy. Ouréa supports each year ,between 5,000€ and 20,000€ per project, a dozen initiatives on five themes. The Ourea Fund is proud to be mobilized for the preservation of the environment through Pure Ocean, which combines scientific research and awareness to preserve endangered marine ecosystems. Read More.
