Dinners for Kids, founded eight years ago by David and Edna Tevet, has provided more than 250,000 meals to food insecure children in the Greater Wyoming Valley. Currently more than 150 children receive 6 dinner meals each week, 52 weeks per year, delivered to their homes by volunteers at no cost to their families.
How is this possible? It is thanks to the financial support of our community and the many volunteers who package and deliver the meals.
Contributing to this essential financial support, the Dinners for Kids second annual dinner will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 on Misericordia University’s campus @ 6:00 PM.
That evening the Metz Family will be honored! Their several major fundraising events and their company’s provision of meals for Back Mountain children, all in support of Dinners For Kids, will be celebrated.
