2. Grant Application Review Is Underway |
Our four Grant Review Committees (GRC’s) have been reviewing applications and selecting candidates for site visits. |
Site visits will be conducted with three nonprofits for each GRC in March/ April. Each GRC will select one organization as a finalist. EVERY Impact 100 NYC member can vote in May to select our grantees. |

Grantee Spotlight: Futures and Options (F&O) |
2022 Innovation Grant Recipient |
Mission: F&O partners with NYC employers to provide transformative career development and networking opportunities for young people to enhance their employment prospects. F&O career-readiness programs include workshops, career exploration events, paid internships, college prep, and mentorship. |
Our Grant: Recognizing the growing need for healthcare workers in our city, F&O looked to Impact 100 NYC to fund a new career exploration program, Get Ahead in Healthcare, to interest high schoolers in the broad range of healthcare careers. |
Get Ahead in Healthcare Program Launches |
 |
Progress to Date: F&O completed its six month planning phase and kicked off Get Ahead in Healthcare in January 2023. While the initial goal was to enroll 50 students in the first component of the program, Healthcare Career Essentials, the response was so overwhelming (350 applications received) that the program was expanded to 90 students. Sessions are running for 11 weeks, culminating in final projects to be presented on 3/27, 4/4 and 4/5. |

4. Volunteer Opportunities |
For its Impact 100 NYC-funded Get Ahead in Healthcare program, F&O is seeking: |
✋🏿Volunteers for these IN-PERSON events: Career Exploration Field Trip* Host: 3/28 or 3/29, 4:30-6:15 PM Mock Interviewer: 3/6, 3/14, or 3/15, 4:30-6:15 PM Judge for Final Student Project: 3/27, 4/4, or 4/5, 4:30-6:15 PM Host an Intern: Mid-July to mid-August

*F&O is seeking healthcare organizations interested in hosting Career Exploration Field Trips. These two hour events typically involve 5+ members of an organization’s team to share an overview, participate in a career panel, and lead activities such as speed networking. |

nextgen, Impact 100 NYC’s high school initiative, will be volunteering with Project Cicero on March 12 from 12-2 to help distribute FREE books to NYC teachers for their classrooms and school libraries. If you would like to join us, register below and meet at 601 W 26th St. | |
