To All Members & Friends of the UUFCM:
The Transition Team announced on Sunday, June 30, that UUFCM will have a minister starting September 1! Although the final paperwork hasn't been signed, the Transition Team offered Drew Frantz a contract for the 2019-2020 year after reading his materials, checking his references, reading/seeing his sermons, and visiting with him twice (once via Zoom and once face-to-face), and he accepted! We all feel that there is a good fit that will serve us well as a congregation and him as a minister.
At this point, we have a full agreement in principle, and both sides committed to it. Once a contract is signed by the UUFCM Board, we will give you more information as we get it in terms of when Drew and his partner Mary will move to Mt. Pleasant, and how we will set up gatherings for all of you to meet them.
One caution please: Until the contract is signed, please feel free to share the good news with family and friends, but we are asking that you not share it on social media yet.
