Worship Matters
We will gather this Sunday, March 3 to worship together with Mel Bailey presenting her sermon titled “Journey: On Setting Out and Coming Home.” We hope you will join us.
Our lives are spiritual journeys, and spirituality is fundamentally about connection. We may not always realize when we are embarking on a spiritual journey. More often than not our journeys begin with a twinge, a gnawing at the back of our minds or the edge of our hearts. We may feel a longing to set out in search of a connection we have yet to experience. We may feel called to come home when we need to strengthen our connection to that from which we came. As you contemplate your own spiritual journey, are you setting out or coming home?

First Friday Potluck - March 1
Janis Shinn is hosting, with a theme of ‘Breakfast for Dinner!’ We will also be celebrating the March birthdays of Don Rust, Leslie Hildebrandt, Beth Macleod, Victoria Sladek, Daniel Davis, and Kevin Daum. The potluck begins at 6:30 p.m. - helping hands are welcome at 6:15 p.m. to assist with set-up preparations.
Infant Pantry Collection - Sunday, March 3
Donations for the Infant Pantry are collected on the first Sunday of each month. Most needed items are things for baby care - diapers and pull-ups in sizes 4, 5 or 6, creams, shampoos, lotions, and baby food in jars. To donate money, make the check out to CCN (Community Compassionate Network) with memo “Infant Pantry.” Contact Tom Moffit (989-772-1602; moffi1tc@cmich.edu) with questions.
Baby Shower Planned
We are planning to have a baby shower for Matt and Elaine Emerick on Sunday, March 10 right after the service. They are registered at Amazon and at Target in case you want to give them a gift. If the baby decides to come earlier, we’ll gladly postpone the celebration :-)

Save for This Year’s Garage Sale
As you are doing any early spring housecleaning and come across items you could donate to our biannual garage sale to be held this spring, please hold on to them for the time being.
Volunteer for ICRH
ICRH is always in need of volunteers – afternoons for the day shelter, 4:00-6:30 for intake, and evenings, overnights and mornings at the various churches. Go to ICRHouse.org to sign up to volunteer.
