Our Members Ideas Meeting has moved to Tuesday 11th Feb

We want to hear your views on the Council's proposals for the Future High Street Fund

Our next members ideas meeting has moved from the 18th Feb to Tuesday 11th, to ensure that Buxton Town Team members can make their views known and we can discuss the proposals being put forward by High Peak Borough Council for the towns Future High Street Fund bid.

High Peak Borough Council has received funding from the Government’s Future High Street Fund to draw up detailed proposals to transform the Spring Gardens area and to develop a plan which would deliver a town centre fit for the 21st century.

Consultants have been talking to property owners, potential commercial tenants and a wide range of stakeholders including key organisations and community groups that operate in the town including Buxton Town Team. They will be sharing their initial ideas at an open day on Monday 10th February 1.00pm – 4.00pm the Springs shopping centre.

We hope that you are able to attend our next members meeting on the 11th February, with more details about this meeting to follow shortly. You can also send your comments direct to HPBC by visiting their website.

You can also view the proposals in full and find out more about the scheme on the council's website and by clicking the button below.

Fairfield Road Receives Signage Upgrade

Work to improve Fairfield Road continues. Now the road name signs have been renewed. These new signs help to enhance the main ‘Gateway to Buxton’.
This is one of the ideas that Buxton Town Team have been working with High Peak Borough Council to improve Fairfield Road. Many thanks to HPBC.
That's all for this month. As aways there's more information about what is going on, on the website and on our Facebook page, and specifically for upcoming events, don't forget the diary.

If you have a Town Team event that you want to add to the diary, please email me at

If you would like to give feedback on your monthly newsletter we'd love to hear from you, just use the e-mail address above; all feedback is appreciated!

Hope to see you soon,
