 Amazing Jubilee display
A massive thank you to everyone who  has been involved in creating the fantastic decorations to help celebrate the platinum jubilee.
The hard work has seen thousands of flowers knitted/crocheted, coaches carved, horses trained, soldiers regimented and yards and yards of bunting cut and stitched.
The wonderful decorations include flowers painted by students from the Community School which are adorning the weather station on The Slopes.
The brilliant and eye-catching decorations are on display throughout the town for everyone to enjoy.

Busy May for Town Team
A busy May has seen Town Team members take part in the Spring Fair, organise the Big Railing Clean, hold the Annual Meeting and an Action Group meeting.
The Railing Clean involved pupils from St Annes and Burbage Primary Schools and St Thomas More and Buxton Community Schools took part together with students from Buxton and Leek College.

Town Team volunteers were also hard at work over the last two Thursday evenings removing docks from the wildflower meadow in Ashwood Park.
This is to stop the docks from taking over and suppressing the year-old wildflowers.
The Friends of Buxton Station kindly provided more wildflower seed to sow patches alongside the A6 past Ashwood Park. This will add to the floral spectacle and also enhance the wildlife corridor into the town centre.
Action Group meeting
The next Action Group meeting will take place on Wed 29th June, 7.30pm, at the Cheshire Cheese. All welcome.
