Slopes around Town
The team continues to meet every Saturday, weather permitting.

However, now that the nights are drawing in, the Thursday evening sessions have gone into hibernation until the Spring.

So that we can start planning our return in Spring 2021, please let us know If you have any ideas about areas of the town that need a little TLC.

Saturdays:  meet at 10am on the car park at the top of The Slopes in front of the town hall. Finish 12 noon.

Just pop along any Saturday -  updates each week are sent out via a WhatsApp group - please to ask to be added to the group!

Please remember to respect social distancing at all times.

Bat boxes in Ashwood Park
Ashwood Park project leader Richard Lower took delivery of these lovely bird and bat boxes earlier in the year. They will be put up in Ashwood Park this Saturday (weather permitting!) so they are acclimatised for use next spring.
The boxes were bought with a grant from the Postcode Lottery and will support efforts to increase biodiversity and to encourage more wildlife in the park.
If you are interested in volunteering to help put these up, please contact Richard: richard.lower2@gmail.com

The new Buxton Town Team website is now up and running:

Many thanks to Pure Peak magazine production editor Lesley Draper, for all her hard work reviewing and refreshing the website, to make it easier to use and to reference documents more easy to access.

The Crescent - have your say!

It's great to see The Crescent finally open its doors this month and we're sure you're all keen to get a chance to see inside the restored building yourselves.

The project has already had a impact on the town. Now, two new surveys have been launched to gauge not only the impact so far, but also the impact over the next 12 months; with funders keen to find out the views of local people, community groups and businesses.

Rosie Fraser Associates and Bearwood Associates Ltd have been appointed as independent evaluation consultants for this project and will report to its major investors and funders including The Buxton Crescent Hotel and Spa Company Ltd, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Derbyshire County Council and High Peaks Borough Council.

You can access the surveys here:

  2. Community groups and residents - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BuxtonCrescentCommunity
