Dear Faith Family,

This weekend is one of my favorite times of the year. The same is for our students. This weekend is our annual IMPACT Weekend. This is a time where our students gather together for large group worship sessions and a teaching and then break into smaller groups to have deeper discussions in host homes. This year’s theme for the weekend is Together: Living in Christ-Centered Community. What makes this year even more special is that we are combining a total of 4 churches together with about 120 students in all. How fitting is it to have a theme Together and combine churches to join as one and worship the Lord. I am anticipating the Lord to do some great things this weekend and throughout the rest of the school year.

Pastor Chris said during his sermon on January 1^st that he wants this to be a year of prayer. We can put that into practice during this weekend. Would you take time throughout each day to pray for the students, leaders, and host homes this weekend? Pray that the Spirit would be among all those involved and would move in the lives of everyone. Pray that those who have not trusted in Christ would make that decision this weekend. Pray that students would have a desire to dig deeper into God’s Word and in their relationship with Him. Prayer is a powerful thing and when the body comes together it pleases the Lord.

IMPACT WEEKEND - January 13-15

This year’s theme is TOGETHER. In our culture today, there is more division than there is unity. In all the division, the Gospel speak a profound truth: In Christ, we are united. We are together. We want to teach the students to embrace a Christ-Centered Community. We will be partnering with a few other churches in the area to encourage unity and togetherness in Christ. Those churches are Brazos Meadows BC, FBC China Springs, and Columbus Avenue BC.

2022 Giving Statements
Thank you so much for your generosity and faithfulness in 2022. We will have giving statements available in the foyer beginning this Sunday, January 15, and on January 22. We will mail any giving statements that have not been picked up on January 31.

Mark your calendars for a night of Worship & Prayer on Sunday, January 22 @ 5 PM. Children and Youth ministries will launch at normal times and places, but all adults will meet in Worship Center for a night of Worship & Prayer.

Grief Share
Grief recovery groups beginning Wednesday, February 1st at 2pm. Call 254.666.2741 to make reservations and reserve a workbook.

Senior Tuesdays meet Tuesday at 2PM

50+ Winter Retreat at Latham Springs
The 50+ Winter Retreat at Latham Springs is scheduled for Thursday, January 19th. If you would like to attend, please call the church office before Sunday, January 15th.

Parents' Night Out
The Senior Adult Ministry will be sponsoring a Parents' Night Out for babies through 5th grade on Friday, January 27th from 6-9pm. Call the church office to sign up by January 22nd. Pizza dinner will be provided.

Branson
The senior adult ministry will be taking a bus trip to the Branson Show Extravaganza in September. The cost is $750 per person based on double occupancy. This includes 6 days and 5 nights, leaving on Monday, September 11 and returning on Saturday September 16. Deposit of $75 is due with registration by Wednesday, February 1st. The final payment is due July 4th. A payment plan will be available beginning in March. Please contact Susan Malone to reserve your spot, as 53 total seats are available. You do NOT have to be a member of First Hewitt to travel with us.
