Dear Faith Family,
This weekend is one of my favorite times of the year. The same is for our students. This weekend is our annual IMPACT Weekend. This is a time where our students gather together for large group worship sessions and a teaching and then break into smaller groups to have deeper discussions in host homes. This year’s theme for the weekend is Together: Living in Christ-Centered Community. What makes this year even more special is that we are combining a total of 4 churches together with about 120 students in all. How fitting is it to have a theme Together and combine churches to join as one and worship the Lord. I am anticipating the Lord to do some great things this weekend and throughout the rest of the school year.
Pastor Chris said during his sermon on January 1st that he wants this to be a year of prayer. We can put that into practice during this weekend. Would you take time throughout each day to pray for the students, leaders, and host homes this weekend? Pray that the Spirit would be among all those involved and would move in the lives of everyone. Pray that those who have not trusted in Christ would make that decision this weekend. Pray that students would have a desire to dig deeper into God’s Word and in their relationship with Him. Prayer is a powerful thing and when the body comes together it pleases the Lord.
Blessings,
