Dear Faith Family,
As we head into a new year, we are so grateful for all the Lord has done in and through First Hewitt in 2022. From the beginning of new ministries with Clayton Knight (Youth Minister) and Jordan Johnson (Worship Pastor) to the mobilization of our faith family in local and international missions. From Kid’s Hope at Hewitt Elementary to Night of the Lights in neighborhoods and Caroling at Royal Manor. God has been so faithful to lead us in new ways to reach those who are far from Christ. We are excited about the opportunities that are ahead of us in 2023 and can’t wait to journey with you in knowing Christ and making Him known!
This Sunday is New Year’s Day! I can’t think of a better way to start the new year than by worshipping the Lord and seeking Him! We will take some time during the service to pray specifically for the year ahead. We hope you will join us for this special time of worship. We will not have Sunday Morning Bible studies this week but will gather for Worship Only at 10:45 AM. There will be preschool worship for our kiddos.
Finally, I want to offer you two end-of-the-year gifts. They come with no strings attached, but my prayer is that they will greatly encourage you in your walk with the Lord. IMPACT WEEKEND - January 13-15
It’s that time again for one of our students’ favorite events, IMPACT Weekend. This year’s theme is TOGETHER. In our culture today, there is more division than there is unity. In all the division, the Gospel speak a profound truth: In Christ, we are united. We are together. We want to teach the students to embrace a Christ-Centered Community. We will be partnering with a few other churches in the area to encourage unity and togetherness in Christ. Those churches are Brazos Meadows BC, FBC China Springs, and Columbus Avenue BC.

Branson Interest Meeting
Attention Adults 55+. We are planning a trip to either Branson (Sight & Sound Theatres) or to Kentucky (Ark & Creation Museum) in September 2023. We will be having an interest meeting on Wednesday, January 4th at 2pm in the HUB. If you are interested in either of these trips, please attend our interest meeting to find out all the details.
Senior Tuesdays will not meet again until Tuesday, January 3rd.

50+ Winter Retreat at Latham Springs
The 50+ Winter Retreat at Latham Springs is scheduled for Thursday, January 19th. If you would like to attend, please call the church office before Sunday, January 15th.
Parents' Night Out
The Senior Adult Ministry will be sponsoring a Parents' Night Out for babies through 5th grade on Friday, January 27th from 6-9pm. Call the church office to sign up by January 22nd. Pizza dinner will be provided.
