Dear Faith Family,
Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world’s greatest problem - LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for greater missionary presence.
She pleaded for increased prayer and financial support to send and sustain more missionaries. This challenge became known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
Every year, Southern Baptist churches collect an offering to send and support missionaries to be steadfastly present among those who have never heard the gospel. In 2021, Southern Baptist supported over 3,600 missionaries and planted almost 23,000 churches on international soil. There were almost 593,000 people who heard the Gospel and 177,000 new believers.
There are several ways that you can join us in supporting the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. First, you can designate a gift in any amount by indicating the amount on the memo of your contribution. 100% of your gifts to Lottie Moon enable gospel transformation among the unreached! Second, you can use the Lottie Moon Mailboxes in the foyer of the Worship Center. Instead of mailing Christmas cards to church members, just put them in the Lottie Moon Mailbox and donate any postage to Lottie Moon. Finally, you can join us in praying for Southern Baptist Missionaries by clicking this link to the Week of Prayer.
