Dear Church Family,

SECRET CHURCH - SIMULCAST

Secret Church is a unique, one-night event that will be streamed online to more than 50,000 participants around the world. Encouraged by our persecuted brothers’ and sisters’ example, we will meet for close to 6 hours for intense study of God’s Word and passionate prayer for the persecuted.

The topic of the study this year is:  Who Am I?

Life seems complicated these days. Fragmented even. And everyone has an opinion. But what does the Bible say about all of these issues? About YOU? About ME? About the 7 billion people that fill every street, town, campus, village, apartment, and neighborhood on earth?

Gender. Sexuality. Artificial Intelligence. Race. Justice. Genomics. The Metaverse.

We will have free pizza, snacks, and drinks starting at 5:30 PM.  The Secret Church Simulcast begins at 6:00 PM.

State Bible Drill - Saturday, April 30

Bible Drill is one of the many ways we are seeking to make disciples in our Children's Ministry.  The children have worked so hard this year in memorizing 25 Bible verses, 12 Key Passages, all 66 books of the Bible!  We are so proud of all of our students that have participated in Bible Drill this year!

Our participants this year were:  Beckett Baker, Megan Bowman, Molly Erlason, Kayler Herbelin, Daniel Nguyen, John Park and Benjamin Schlappe. Congratulations on a great year!

Quarterly Business Meeting

Please make note that our next Quarterly Members' Meeting is on Sunday, May 1, @ 4 PM in the HUB.  We will get to worship together, hear ministry updates from our staff, and vote on HUB roof recommendations from our Properties/Finance Team.  We encourage all church members to join us for the regularly scheduled meeting.

We are so thankful for Brandon and Kim Martin!  Brandon serves on our staff and is currently serving as our Interim Worship Pastor.  On Wednesday, April 27th, the Martin's added a little baby girl to their family!  We would like to bless them with a card "shower" with gift cards from Target, Walmart, HEB or cash.

There will be baskets in the foyer the next two Sundays that you may place your card in or drop it by the church office. Help us welcome and bless Baby Girl Martin and her parents on Sunday, May 15 as we present them with these gifts.

The Tabernacle Experience

The Senior Adult Trip to the Tabernacle Experience is on Tuesday, May 17th with reservations at 2:00pm. Meet us at the Coffee Shop in McGregor at 11:30am for lunch prior to The Tabernacle Experience. Operation Christmas Child (OCC)

Do you want to serve as a missionary throughout the world from Hewitt, TX?  The Senior Adult  Ministry is doing just that by collecting items each month for our Operation Christmas Child Boxes.  During May, we are collecting stuffed animals, small sports balls for 100 boxes.  Thanks for your help each month by supporting missions around the world.

Senior Tuesdays

Please join us on Tuesdays from 2-4. We are busy making gifts for children around the world as we fill Operation Christmas Child boxes with a few extra items. We are learning to make beanie hats on a knitting loom, rubber band salvation bracelets, and we will be making jump ropes out of t-shirts. We need donations of old t-shirts. We are also making baby blankets out of loop it yarn to donate to new baby families.

Dominoes & puzzle tables are also available for those who just want to fellowship together.

Registration is easy.  Just click the link below and fill out the form with the location you'd like to attend.

This Summer, we've got an exciting opportunity for families of all ages and sizes to serve together.  Are you single, retired, a family of 2, or a family of many more?  This trip is for you!

We have worked out a partnership with Glorieta Camps in New Mexico to spend a week (July 2-8) on campus helping them with a variety of projects. Glorieta is an incredible place with a rich heritage of transforming lives with the Gospel.  Our team will mobilize families to help with painting, minor repairs, cleaning, organizing, and any other projects on campus.

It is a beautiful place and perfect for families to serve together!  The cost of the trip will be around $500 per family and less for couples or singles.  This includes:  lodging, food, and supplies.  It doesn't cover the cost of travel to and from Glorieta or any excursions or extra activities while there.  If you'd like more information or to sign up, please fill out the registration form below!

For more information, please join us for a special meeting on Sunday, May 1 @ 5 PM in the HUB.   Deadline to register is Sunday, May 8.
