Dear Faith Family,
I read an article recently depicting the month of March as a month of memories. March is the in-between month when we shake off the cold winds of winter and wait to see the first warm signs of spring. We look with anticipation toward Easter resurrection, and approaching new growth of life within ourselves as well as new life in our surroundings.
Spring is a time for cleaning—getting rid of the old things in our lives. We have been doing a lot of that around our home as we get rid of the things we do not need that make clutter. I have been looking through albums and albums of pictures, reminiscing of days gone by and remembering those that are no longer with us.
I have been thanking God for His precious gift of memory and I am so thankful for those spiritual markers in my life—for my mom leading me to Christ as a young teenager, for so many faithful friends throughout the years that have been spiritual leaders, and for those that continue to help me grow as a Jesus follower.
In this season of my life, I am thankful for each of you and for your continual words of encouragement as we co-labor together, sharing the Gospel message and God’s love with those around us.
My prayer for each of you is that you might also revisit and relive the memorable days of your past, the times God has purposely imprinted upon your heart and mind to keep your faith and hope alive and strong. Most importantly, I pray we will all be thanking God for all He is doing in each of our lives and for how He is at work at First Hewitt.
“Being confident of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
Be Blessed,
