Dear Faith Family,

There are moments when the line between Heaven and Earth seems very thin.  It may come at the birth of a child, in the sight of a sunrise, in the wings of a hummingbird, or perhaps even in a prayer meeting with friends.  Last Sunday night, at our Concert of Prayer, the Lord was near.  It was such a powerful night to hear a room filled with prayer and praise.  I am so grateful for these nights, and I genuinely believe that God is working in response to the prayers of His people!

I am excited to announce that our Worship Pastor Search Team has officially been formed.  The seven-member search team is made up of the following individuals:

  • From our Church Body:  Mike Erlanson and Jackie Talley
  • From our Worship Ministry:  Brady Richardson, Carrie Allen, and Stephanie Garber
  • From our Personnel Team:  Darryl Lehnus and Justin Williams

Please keep this team in your prayers as they begin their work! We will have a special time of prayer for the team this Sunday morning.

Finally, as we prepare for Easter, we will be setting aside a special night to Prayerwalk and pass out Door Hangers in our neighborhoods.  We will meet on Sunday, April 10 at 6 PM in the HUB and scatter throughout our community to pray.  I hope you will make plans to join us!  And, continue to pray about the one person or family you can invite!

You are loved!

Pastor Chris

Ukrainian Refugee Team

As a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are witnessing the largest movement of people in Europe since World War II. More than 2 million Ukrainians refugees have surged into Poland with little but a desire for safety.

We have an opportunity through the Texas Baptist Men (TBM) to send a small team to help with refugees in Poland.  Teams will work in a Polish distribution center and a refugee center in a Polish church.  Inidividuals would serve for a two week period of time.  There is nothing glamorous about the work.  It is grunt work, but it is a way to meet a practical need in the name of Jesus.

If you would be interested, please contact Pastor Chris

Thank you!

We are so thankful for the 60+ volunteers who came out and helped during our church work day!  It was such a huge blessing to serve together and our campus is looking so good. We appreciate our Properties Team for helping us organize everything.   A special thanks to Larry and Janet McAdoo for going above and beyond to make sure everything was ready to go.  LIFE IS BETTER TOGETHER!

Operation Christmas Child (OCC)

The Senior Adult Ministry is sponsoring Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoeboxes during 2022.  The suggested items for April are flashlights and jump ropes.

Senior Tuesdays

Please join us on Tuesdays from 2-4. We are busy making gifts for children around the world as we fill Operation Christmas Child boxes with a few extra items. We are learning to make beanie hats on a knitting loom, rubber band salvation bracelets, and we will be making jump ropes out of t-shirts. We need donations of old t-shirts. We are also making baby blankets out of loop it yarn to donate to new baby families.

Brett Cox will be here to lead Senior Activities on Tuesday, April 19.

Dominoes & puzzle tables are also available for those who just want to fellowship together.

SECRET CHURCH - SIMULCAST

Secret Church is a unique, one-night event that will be streamed online to more than 50,000 participants around the world. Encouraged by our persecuted brothers’ and sisters’ example, we will meet for close to 6 hours for intense study of God’s Word and passionate prayer for the persecuted.

The topic of the study this year is:  Who Am I?

Life seems complicated these days. Fragmented even. And everyone has an opinion. But what does the Bible say about all of these issues? About YOU? About ME? About the 7 billion people that fill every street, town, campus, village, apartment, and neighborhood on earth?

Gender. Sexuality. Artificial Intelligence. Race. Justice. Genomics. The Metaverse.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering

The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) is the primary way we support mission efforts in North America. One hundred percent of gifts given to AAEO are used to support more than 2,200 missionary families serving across the United States and Canada.

Every gift to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering – 100 percent – goes to train, resource and send thousands of missionaries involved in church planting and compassion ministries across the United States, Canada and their territories. Our partnership with Southern Baptist Convention churches and individuals makes this work possible.

For more information about the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, please click here

If you would like to contribute towards the AAEO, you may do so by designating a gift online (click HERE) or by designating your gift in the memo of your check.
