Dear Faith Family,

One of my favorite hymns is Blessed Assurance:
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!  Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long.
In Scripture, God shows us what He does.  He faithfully pursues us, forgiving us again and again, showing us great compassion, mercy & love.  He sent His Son to redeem, forgive, and restore us to Himself through His life, death, and resurrection.
God has given us these promises to assure us, just like the hymn says.  He is saying that He loves us in such a way that nothing could ever cause Him to forsake us.  We need to remember that God’s love is sure and trustworthy.
He not only gives us these promises, but reminds us of what He has done to prove His words are true.  He gave His one and only Son for us.  He loves us and will see our salvation all the way through to the end, to that day when we will see Him face-to-face.  Nothing, not even death, will separate us from His love.
Now it is our turn to show love in action as we truly love others, both inside and outside of our faith family.  I want to thank you for showing that love across the world as we give to Operation Christmas Child during this year.  Last month, 119 pair of socks were given.  Our goal for February, is 100 pair of children’s sunglasses and bead kids.  These bead kits can be purchased or made by your family.
I also want to thank the Senior Ministry Teams for sponsoring the Widow/Widower Banquet last weekend.  We had 13 widows and 2 widowers present and 35 more gifts to deliver for those who were unable to attend.  We had a great time loving on these precious people and look forward to more opportunities to do so.
I am so blessed and pray that for you as well!!  See you Sunday!

D-Now Weekend

DNOW is here! It’s not too late to get involved. You can help by being in prayer for all the students and leaders who are involved with DNOW this weekend. Pray for safety and salvation. Safety as we travel from place to place and salvation for the students who have not trusted in the Lord. God is going to move!

Sam & Brianna Johnson

Please join us this Sunday, February 20 @ 4 PM in the HUB. As you may know,  Sam announced that he will be stepping away from his role as Worship Pastor at the end of February.  We love and appreciate all that Sam has done for us over the last 2 1/2 years.  This Baby Shower and fellowship is a simply way to thank them and bless them in the days ahead!  They will be having a little baby girl in April!

Special Called Business Meeting

Special-Called Business Meeting

On Wednesday, February 16, our faith family met in a special-called business meeting to discuss the future staffing plans for our worship ministry. We approved three recommendations from our Personnel Team. First, we approved a staffing plan to transition our Worship Pastor role from a part-time position into a full-time position. Second, we adopted a job description for this position. Finally, we approved a selection process for our Worship Pastor Search Team. We will communicate more about this plan in the coming days. As always, please feel free to contact the church office with any questions.

Volunteer Lunch

We are so thankful for all who volunteer in the life of our church.  As a way of celebrating our volunteers, we are hosting a special lunch in honor of our volunteers.  If you are a volunteer in any of our ministry environments or ministry teams, then we would love for you to join us for this special time.  The lunch will take place on Sunday, February 27th @ 12.  Please RSVP by calling the church office (254.666.2741), emailing Gayle (, or signing up ONLINE by February 21.

Operation Christmas Child (OCC)

The Senior Adult Ministry is sponsoring Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoeboxes during 2022.  The suggested items for February are sun glasses and bead kits.

Prayer Focus

Every month, we as a church family are seeking to pray for the Gospel to be known in different parts of the world.  Each of the locations we have strategically been chosen based on current or potential partnerships.  This month, we are praying for the people of Japan.

Here is a great video to help guide your prayers this month.

Worship Center Upgrades

In the days ahead, you will notice a few changes in the worship center.  We are in the process of upgrading our projectors and moving our projector screens.  These upgrades will provide new technology that should enhance our weekly worship experience.  These improvements are made possible through your generous gifts to our General Budget.   If you have any questions, please contact Sam Johnson or Larry McAdoo (Properties Team Leader).
