Dear Faith Family,

For the body does not consist of one member but of many.  If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less part of the body… 18 But as it is, God has arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.  If all were a single member, where would the body be?  As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.”   1 Corinthians 12:14-15,18-20

I love the imagery in Paul’s words!  It is simple yet profound. The body is such a complex organism, and yet each part plays an important role.

I saw this portrait come to life several times this past week. It started last Sunday night during our Night of Worship & Prayer.  As individuals and families from every life stage gathered in the HUB, our many voices echoed throughout the room. It was such an incredible night to hear the many parts of the body actively lifting up both praises and petitions.

I also saw the body at work on Monday and Tuesday during our Serve Week.  I loved seeing the unique gifts and skills of the body functioning in different ways.  I saw ladies making things that I could never make and men serving with skills that I do not have.  I’m so glad that our church family is made up of many different parts!

In fact - did you notice what Paul said back in 1 Cor 12:18?  “God has arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.” Wow!  What an amazing statement! It is no accident that God has brought you to First Hewitt!  God has arranged us together!  We need one another!  One part or person can’t do it all! Our gifts, skills, abilities, personalities, passions, interests, perspectives, and life experiences are VALUABLE to this body!  You are an essential part, and I thank God for you!

Life is better together!

You are loved!

Daylight Savings Time - Sunday, March 12
Don't forget that this Saturday night we will spring forward for Daylight Savings Time.  We can't wait to worship with you on Sunday!
Lord's Supper - Sunday, March 12
This Sunday, we will celebrate the Lord's Supper together toward the end of the service.  This is always such a special time in the life of our faith family, and we hope you will plan to join us.  Rather than passing the elements, we will once again encourage the congregation to come to one of five tables in the worship service.  We can't wait to worship together on Sunday!
Do you have a dirty car? Have you not washed it all winter? Well, it’s now Spring which means it’s time to get it washed. The students will be hosting a car wash here at the church to help raise money for camp. The car wash will take place March 25 from 10am-2pm. Please take the time to come by and support our students!
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) is the primary way Southern Baptists fund missions in North America. One hundred percent of gifts given to AAEO go to the field to support more than 2,400 missionary families serving across the United States and Canada.

Gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering are used to train and resource missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries. Gifts are also used to create evangelism resources. New churches are being planted, hurts are being healed and lives are being transformed by the gospel because you give.

For more information about the AAEO, please click here.
You can give to the AAEO by giving directly (click HERE) or by giving through the church (click HERE).
