Dear Faith Family,

On my early morning jogs, I tend to listen to all kinds of podcasts, sermons, and audiobooks.  I recently finished listening to one of my all-time favorites.  It is a series of 7 books by C.S. Lewis called, The Chronicles of Narnia.

Narnia is a fictional world filled with talking beasts and magical creatures, but the entire story is meant to point readers to Christ.  One of the main characters is a lion named Aslan, and Aslan is the true King of Narnia and the Christ figure in the story.

One of my favorite phrases in the series is when I hear the words, “Aslan is on the move…”.  This phrase is always shrouded in a bit of a mystery.  Nobody knows precisely how he is moving or what he is doing! But they know that whatever it is, it is for good!

I can’t help but think of this phrase as I hear about the stories of revival in Kentucky. I have been so encouraged and challenged by the powerful signs of God’s Spirit at work on this campus!  The news of a revival that leads to an entire city being shut down and worship services being multiplied and moved!  This is so amazing!

Have we not prayed for movements like this to be rekindled in our land?  Have we not said, “what we need in this country is revival?”  And - as we see the signs of God on the move, what should be our response?

My encouragement to us is that we would truly look deep inside our own hearts!  Let’s pray for God to renew and revive us!  Let’s be honest with God about our personal sins.  Let’s be bold with God in radical obedience.  Let’s come to worship with eager expectations.  And, let’s pray the words of Jim Elliot: “God, I pray Thee, light these idle sticks of my life, and may I burn for Thee. Consume my life, my God, for it is Thine. I seek not a long life, but a full one, like you, Lord Jesus.”

Could I encourage you to join us on Sunday, March 5, at 5 PM, for a night of worship and prayer?  This is going to be a family-friendly gathering.   We will be intentional about the format of the night and provide space for all ages to participate with us.

Also….  We’d love you to join us for Serve Week (March 5-8).  We will be partnering with local organizations to serve in our community and around the church.  It is important that you let us know you are coming!   We need to coordinate these projects with our partners.  Sign up HERE!

Please let us know if you have any questions (254.666.2741)!

You are loved!

Pastor Chris

We are excited about the opportunity to take a few days during spring break to serve our church and community!  Our plan is to have some daily projects in the morning and the evenings.  We will have projects inside and projects outside.  Some of these projects will be off campus with local organizations and some will be at the church.  We hope you will plan to join us as we serve together.

Please let us know of your interest and availability by completing this registration form!  This will allow us to plan appropriately for our projects.
