Dear Church Family,

What a great week it has been in our neighborhoods! We had a great turnout for our Summer Kids Club and this evening (6:30 PM) is our block party here at the church. God is good and was most definitely present this year amongst our volunteers and children. Thank you Michelle, and everyone else who worked so hard to put this event together.

This coming Monday, I have the privilege of taking 22 students to youth camp this summer. I am praying that they have a wonderful time, and that God moves in their lives. This is one of my favorite times of the year because I get to spend an entire week with all the student’s playing games, worshipping with them, and hearing great messages. My prayer is that God would guide and direct their lives and lead them into a deeper relationship with him. I have made quite a few bookmarks with the student’s names on them that you will be available to pick up this Sunday. Please take one and lift the students up in prayer each day we are at camp. If there is one thing I learn from our trip to North Africa is that you can never spend too much time in prayer and if you don’t think there is anything you can do, YOU CAN PRAY!

Summer Kids' Club Block Party is Tonight!

What a great week it's been as we've hosted over 90 kids this week throughout our community in Summer Kids' Club. We are so thankful for the many volunteers who have made this happen. Thank you for hosting, teaching, leading crafts, games, and the countless other ways you have given of your time and talents this week. You are a blessing! It's been a great week of serving together and reaching our community with the Gospel.

We're finishing off the week with our block party tonight. Join us at 6:30 pm for the Summer Kid's Club Block Party in the FBCH Parking lot on First Street. We will have hot dogs, chips, water, games, inflatables and a lot of FUN! Set-up starts at 5 o'clock!

Membership Lunch

Our next First Steps Membership Lunch will be held on Sunday, June 26 @ 12 PM. This lunch is for anyone who is interested in learning more about our faith family and what it means to officially be a member of our fellowship. We will share an informal meal together, learn more about our vision, and provide time for a Q & A. Senior Tuesdays

Please join us on Tuesdays from 2-4. We are busy making gifts for children around the world as we fill Operation Christmas Child boxes with a few extra items. We are learning to make beanie hats on a knitting loom, rubber band salvation bracelets, and we will be making jump ropes out of t-shirts. We are making baby blankets out of loop it yarn to donate to new baby families.

Dominoes & puzzle tables are also available for those who just want to fellowship together.

Operation Christmas Child (OCC)

PLEASE HELP as we serve as a missionary throughout the world from Hewitt, TX. The Senior Adult Ministry is doing just that by collecting items each month for our Operation Christmas Child Boxes. During June, we are collecting toy dolls and cars/trucks for 100 boxes. We are still in need of some of our previous months items - hair accesories, jump ropes, flash lights, yoyos, stuffed animals in addition to the items for this month. Thank you for your helping support missions around the world.

We are excited to return to Mt. Lebanon this summer for pre-teen camp June 20-24. If your child has completed 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th grade, we hope you will join us for a week of great fun & great worship. This year's Camp Pastor is Jesse Joyner with music by Yancy. Cost: $205, payable by June 12th.

Youth Camp is next week! We have filled all available spots for camp. We are looking forward to an amazing week at Latham Springs! Please be in prayer for all our students who have registered for this summer.

Summer is officially here!

The kids and grandkids are out of school. The days are getting hotter and longer! And, the opportunity to serve together has never been easier!

In early July, we are taking a small group of volunteers and families to serve in Glorieta, New Mexico. We will be partnering with Glorieta Camps to do a variety of work-related projects. There will be something for every skill level and age level. Each family will have their own room to sleep and will provide own transportation to get there! It might even be a great opportunity to tag on a few days for a family vacation in the mountains.

The dates for the trip are July 2-8. The cost is just $500 per family or $250 per couple. This includes lodging, meals, and supplies! You can’t get much better than that! If money is a problem, we have some scholarships available!

There is nothing like serving together with family and friends! Don’t miss your opportunity! We have a few spots left! First come, first served!
