At Tahuna, Tech pounced on a poor clearance to take the lead and a second half Pen clinched 3 points. Meanwhile, Green Island grabbed the McDougal Cup by beating local rivals Mosgiel 2-1. Queenstown beat Wanaka 6-2.

In brilliant sunshine, Rosly played Queenstown Women at Ellis and struggled to break down the Central Otago visitors, especially since two key players were not available. But the Qtowners blend of age and experience was worth the eventual 4-1 win, highlighted by  a Kiara Bercelli  hattrick.

The 12-month extension, to August 2021, will see Sermanni lead the team at the rearranged Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 2021. 
Since being appointed in October 2018, the former Australian Matildas, USA and Orlando Pride coach has successfully qualified the team for both the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, in addition to notable wins over England and Norway.
