 Waitakere on the Turf

This week its Waitakere on Saturday 15th Feb, for your chance to see how Terry Boylan arranges his Sth. team.
Probably no great changes, but a gritty southern effort could upset Paul Hobson's high flying Waitak side.
Last week, Waitakere squeezed out a 1-nil win over Eastern Suburbs thanks to a  Sam Burfoot 82’ minute goal  - to leap frog the Suburbs, and achieve third slot on the Nat. Lg. Table.
In the fiercely contested match, both sides were reduced to ten men.
Meanwhile Southern earned a 1-1 away draw with Hamilton after Xavier Pratt put the hosts in front , but  a late strike from Garbhan rescued a point in the 93rd minute - well done All,    -  an away Point aint bad, and takes the points tally to 13 in 13 games.... So, get along to the Turf and cheer on Otago...

Elsewhere, Hawkes Bay's 2-1 win over Canterbury United.left the red and blacks rooted to the foot of the table with just two wins., the only bright spot was Ben Stroud's goal for Canty     - a name from the past eh ?

Good Luck Terry and Southern !    The Climb starts Now...
